Here’s the breakdown: Riding boots are back—in sleek, espresso-hued leather (the sturdy kind that stands up all on its own) with curved shapes and stirrup-like straps. And those heavy-duty Bottega lug soles that have infiltrated your feed for a few seasons now? Not only are they sticking around; they’ve also been upgraded in rich earth tones and slick ombré hues, with details that take cues from your ladylike loafers.

What: 11.22 Bag
We’re particularly taken with Virginie Viard’s latest homage to Chanel’s legendary 2.55 bag. It’s made with the same couture-like precision you’d expect from a century-old maison (each bag takes fifteen hours to create, give or take), but with some unexpected rebel details, like pearls flanked by tiny studs along the diamond quilting and leather ribbon entwined with the chain-link strap.

What: The Jackie 1961
Gucci’s fabled hobo bag is legendary: Back in the ’70s, Jackie Kennedy was spotted with it so frequently, the fashion house decided that the style formerly known as G1244 was ripe for a rebrand. Cut to now: The new unisex version—reissued in very-vintage pastels and shrunken-down sizes—is just beyond good. Just ask Harry Styles.
Who: Gabriela Hearst
What: The Nina Bag
Uruguayan designer Gabriela Hearst has mastered the conversation piece. Case in point: the Nina Bag, which is crocheted in Bolivia in limited runs (all by special request) and created as a tribute to the late artist turned activist Nina Simone. The cloud-soft cashmere is divine, and that head-turning tie-dye will breathe new life into any look.
