Tech & Science Daily: Facebook in £2 billion lawsuit over ‘exploiting user data’

acebook has been hit with a unique £2.3 billion legal claim launched over what’s alleged to be “unfair” terms and conditions imposed on British users.

The lawsuit argues Facebook forced 44 million users over four years to agree to t’s and c’s allowing the firm to generate billions from monitoring and collecting their data, while users received nothing – in what the claim calls an “unfair deal”.

Meta says users have “meaningful control” over the information they share on its tech platforms.

A massive cyberattack warning Ukrainians to “be afraid and expect the worst” hit government websites on Thursday night, leaving some sites inaccessible on Friday.

Ukraine’s foreign ministry told Reuters it was too early to say who could be behind the attack.
